Video capsules
"TPO" is my invented acronym for "Temporary Personal Opinion". In this section, I share my TPOs on topics
directly or indirectly related to spiritual life. These reflections may or may not resonate with you,
but their purpose is to stimulate thought and perhaps challenge some preconceived ideas. They are
temporary because I recognize that opinions evolve with time and experience. My hope is that you find
value in these reflections, whether they inspire you, question you, or simply offer you a new angle to
consider. I encourage you to approach these TPOs with an open mind and critical spirit. May they serve
as catalysts for your own growth and understanding, enriching your personal spiritual journey.
Faith
Faith, defined by Yogananda as "the intuitive experience of Truth", and how different it is from what many people think.
Faith
Faith, as defined by Paramahansa Yogananda, is not blind belief nor the passive acceptance of dogma, but the intuitive experience of Truth. In this reflection we explore how far what many people call faith is from this definition, how inner faith is actually cultivated through meditation, and what role it plays on the spiritual path of the kriyaban.
Loving yourself
The importance of loving oneself and its relationship with enjoying the love that others offer you.
Loving yourself
Loving oneself is not an exercise in selfishness, but the foundation on which every healthy relationship rests. Here we explore the intimate connection between accepting yourself just as you are and being able to fully receive the love that others offer you. Without that inner foundation, even the most sincere affection from those around us reaches us dimmed by our own lack of self-worth.
How to love yourself
After discussing the importance of loving oneself, here we'll talk about how to do it.
How to love yourself
Once the importance of loving oneself is understood, the hardest part comes: how to actually do it in daily life. In this TPO we share small gestures, changes of perspective and concrete attitudes —from inner dialogue to the care of one's own body and one's own time— that gradually weave a kinder relationship with oneself.
Desire
How desire manifests in the initial stages of a love relationship and our efforts to try to perpetuate it.
Desire
Desire appears with special intensity in the initial stages of a love relationship, when everything is perceived as newness and promise. Here we reflect on our efforts to perpetuate that state —often mistaking it for love itself— and on how the struggle to hold on to what naturally changes ends up eroding the bond. Distinguishing desire from love is one of the subtlest spiritual tasks along the path.
Happiness
The importance of acquiring a neutral state of mind in your daily life and how sadhana can help us with this.
Happiness
Happiness, as the great masters understand it, is not sustained euphoria but a neutral, calm and stable state of mind, one that cannot be shaken by life's ups and downs. In this reflection we explore the importance of cultivating that inner balance day by day and how sadhana —constant spiritual practice— is the most powerful tool for reaching it.
